The day began getting ready at home, then the ceremony was celebrated at the Church of San Giobbe in Cannaregio. After a long gondola ride, organized with precision by the groom’s fellow gondoliers, the Island of San Giorgio welcomed us with open arms, providing a postcard backdrop for our couple photos. An island of peace and serenity. After a dip in Burano’s explosion of colors, we arrived at the reception venue in Torcello, one of the oldest and most prosperous settlements in the lagoon. With a refined elegance, the day ended with the ideal party: music and dancing on a boat until we reached St. Mark’s Square, the perfect setting to end a dreamy day.
